About the American Council of Engineering Companies of Kentucky

The face and voice of engineering businesses in Kentucky

The American Council of Engineering Companies of Kentucky (ACEC-KY) is the Kentucky member organization of the American Council of Engineering Companies, headquartered in the Kentucky Engineering Center.

ACEC-KY represents the business interests of engineering firms—advancing the engineering industry through government advocacy, promotion of economic growth and recognition of excellence.

All members of ACEC-KY are registered to practice Professional Engineering or Land Surveying under the laws of the state of Kentucky and many also hold registration in other states. To qualify for membership, consulting firms must hold a current Engineering Business Entity Permit from the Kentucky Board of Engineers and Land Surveyors with no business affiliations that could compromise professional judgement.

Our Mission

ACEC-KY is dedicated to:

  • Establishing and maintaining the highest standards of technical performance and professional practice.
  • Encouraging continuing professional and technical achievement among all engineers.
  • Developing a greater understanding of the practice of consulting engineering among the public, related design professions, the construction and materials industries and local, state and federal governments.
  • Performing public services when they do not conflict with professional obligations.
