Competition Dates for 2002

 Chapter Competition: February 9, 2002 *

To be held in 13 locations across Kentucky

(Local coordinators will announce locations in January 2002)

State Competition: March 15-16, 2002

Holiday Inn Fern Valley – Louisville, Kentucky

(Reception & party on March 15; Competition & awards on March 16)

National Competition: June 12-16, 2002

University of Chicago – Chicago, Illinois

(Competition will be held on Friday, June 14)

Chapter Competition: February 8, 2003 *

To be held in 13 locations across Kentucky

(Local coordinators will announce locations in January 2003)

State Competition: March 14-15, 2003

Holiday Inn North – Lexington, Kentucky

(Reception and party on March 14; Competition & awards on March 15)

National Competition: TBA

**The chapter competition bad-weather window is February 10-17 for 2002 and February 9-16 for 2003. Chapter coordinators may, at each coordinator’s discretion, postpone the chapter competition due to inclement weather.

OTHER NOTES: Dates are confirmed and, in many cases, facilities are secured by contracts. Therefore, these dates may not be altered except due to bad weather in the case of February 9, 2002 and February 8, 2003 chapter competitions (at the discretion of the chapter coordinator). The state competition dates will not be altered due to contract liabilities.

The competition dates were determined in April 2001 in cooperation with the competition schedule for the Kentucky Association for Academic Competitions. Attempts to contact other sources of school/academic competitions were unsuccessful.
