The KEF is a 501(c)3 corporation founded in 1971 by the Kentucky Society of Professional Engineers (KSPE) for the purpose of supporting the educational programs sponsored by engineers in the Commonwealth of Kentucky. The members of the Kentucky Society of Professional Engineers (KSPE) are also members of KEF.
Programs or activities that are supported through KEF include:
MATHCOUNTS (middle school students)
Leadership Management Seminar/Retreat (college students)
Society of American Military Engineers (SAME) Scholarships (high school to college)
Louisville Chapter of KSPE Scholarships (high school to college)
Northern Kentucky Chapter of KSPE - Northern Kentucky Engineering Education Fund Scholarships (high school to college)
Discover E (elementary- and middle-school students)
Engineers in Schools (elementary through high school)
Kentucky Engineers Golf Classic Fund-Raising Program
MISSION:
The Kentucky Engineering Foundation (KEF) is dedicated to educational and professional activities that encourage individuals to achieve their potential as productive workers and as informed citizens. KEF is committed to the belief that the engineering profession continues to make a vital contribution to the quality of life of all Kentuckians.
